Heartbreaking to see this post, and sad to say it’s not the first I’ve seen lately. I’m sure the local and rowing community will support the club so that the juniors can soon be back out on the water. #rowing

Lovely weekend attending my oldest granddaughters graduation. Being dyslexic meant she didn’t always enjoy her school journey, Uni wasn’t a given but here she is with BSc Sports Coaching 1st class. PGCE deferred until Sept 2026 in favour of a year coaching in Australia.

This is such an unhelpful headline. Daughter used to work in a nursery and the government funding barely covered costs for child. Staff usually on minimum/living wage despite need for %age of them to be qualified EYFS practitioners.
With my government, every child across the country will have an equal opportunity to a brilliant education. That’s why we are cracking down on rip-off nursery fees. independent.co.uk/news/uk/po…

Just seen the sad news that Geoff Capes has died. So many memories of watching him compete and one of the reasons I loved field athletics. RIP Geoff.

Very urgent, please retweet to help Spud find a home or a rescue space, he's currently in a council pound in #SHEFFIELD #YORKSHIRE #UK AT RISK OF EUTHANASIA IN A COUNCIL POUND 🆘 ineedahome.co.uk/dogs/13812-…… 'This lovely boy was brought into kennels after being found roaming as a stray for a couple of days. We have aged him around 2 years and named him Spud. Spud is a large stocky mastiff cross. Please note he is NOT a banned breed & has been assessed by a police dog liaison officer to confirm. Spud was a little timid on arrival but never showed any signs of aggression & was easily won over with a couple of gravy bones. Spud is strong but fairly steady on the lead & walks quite nicely. Spud has shown no negative reactions towards other dogs in kennels. Spud tries to stay clean in his kennel but may need a gentle reminder when it comes to housetraining. Please note spud is larger than he looks in his photos, we estimate that he weighs around 50kgs. Spud will make a great companion!' - Sheffield Council Pound Also, please share on Facebook 👇facebook.com/profile.php?id=…#dogs #dog #animals #adoptdontshop #Rescuedogs #Leeds #Bradford #Wakefield @liamgallagher

In order to achieve equality of opportunity, NGBs must actively address any barriers that may be preventing coaches from reaching their full potential This may include addressing issues such as financial barriers, lack of access to quality training facilities, or discrimination
