Eng. Masamba Pinto is a Civil Engineer and Lab Technician at Kabale University, bringing over twelve years of experience in road construction projects across Uganda. He holds an MSc in Civil Engineering (Kampala International University), a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Kabale University), and a National Diploma from UTC Elgon. Masamba’s career advanced from laboratory assistant to pavement and materials engineer, contributing to projects with Lea Associates, KOM Consult, and Air Water Earth Consult. Today, he supports students at Kabale University through practicals, research, and industrial lessons, fostering the next generation of engineers. 📌UPDATE | Kabale–Kisoro Road Landslides that had temporarily cut off sections of the Kabale–Kisoro Road have been cleared and uninterrupted traffic flow is now certain. Our teams remain on standby and will continue clearing debris as and when landslides occur. With the ongoing rains and the hilly terrain of Kabale and Kisoro areas, motorists are advised to exercise caution, especially during and after heavy rainfall. We congratulate Emanuel Nuwagaba, our alumnus of Civil Engineering, on his recognition with the UIPE Award for Young Engineering Innovators. The Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) honored him with the award together with four other young engineering innovators.

Eng. Philip Tibenderana is a dedicated professional with an MSc in Water Management from Cranfield University and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Makerere University. His journey has seen him contribute to water and sanitation projects as a Civil Engineer at Kigezi Diocese Water and Sanitation Programme, later advancing to Deputy Programme Coordinator, where he managed impactful catchment-based initiatives. Currently, Philip serves as an Assistant Lecturer and Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Kabale University, where he focuses on teaching, curriculum development, and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
