Very worrying
The Metropolitan Police have abandoned impartiality in favour of progressive and contested ideologies. Former elected Chairman of the Metropolitan Police Federation, Rick Prior, was unlawfully sacked by the Police Federation of England and Wales after saying in a GB News interview that rank-and-file officers were concerned about vexatious racism complaints being made against them simply for doing their jobs. Rick was later brought into the Met Police’s policy unit and tasked with drafting new Diversity, Equality and Inclusion guidelines — only to have his recommendations ignored. Watch Rick speak with FSU Director of Policy and Research @DavidRoseUK on the FSU Podcast 👇

Yep. Nothing achieved
Unclear if the ‘deal’ says anything about Iran’s ballistic missile arsenals and capabilities or about its funding of its terrorist regional proxies. Nor how any ‘nuke’ deal, if one ever done, would be policed. We need much more info but it’s hard to avoid the fear this has the makings of the biggest foreign policy failure of the Trump admin to date.

A good question
I went to a kebab shop that has sponsored 7 skilled worker visas. What skills do you need to work in a kebab shop that requires you to import people into Britain?

Wow! I didn’t realise that. Totally politically one sided
Why is Sir Keir Starmer’s Government set to ban under-16s from accessing 10 major social media platforms — including X — but not left-wing platforms like Bluesky? Since coming to power, this Government has been openly hostile to X, a forum for debate that prides itself on free speech. Ministers have even floated the idea of blocking UK citizens’ access to the platform altogether. Starmer can no longer pretend this is solely about protecting children.

The problem for the politicians denying that Britain is a two-tier society is that nobody seems to have told the rest of the state, which continues to implement policies showing that it very much is:

Yep. Strange that.
Andy Burnham has said that “Westminster has refused to listen to towns like ours for decades.” From 2001-2017, Andy was the MP for Leigh. During that time he held several cabinet positions, he was part of the Westminster bubble that refused to listen to Makerfield. Charlatan.

Savvy Trevor Phillips takes the day off and leaves Wilfred Frost to hand village idiot Lisa Nandy her arse on a plate, he asks her if there are 700 vessels in the Russian Shadow Fleet how come the UK has stopped an awe-inspiring ONE of them in four years. She says that shows how serious Keir Starmer's Government is on the matter....

If true, a reasonable question
This is Usama Ghanem looking delighted to be protesting near a synagogue today. He lost his student visa MONTHS ago. Why is he still in this country able to harass Jewish ppl? @ShabanaMahmood

Probably because Starmer could not get anyone to take the job unless he promised to reopen the Defence Investment Plan budget.
A Labour source asks a very pertinent question: “If there’s more money as Lisa just confirmed, why was Healey allowed to resign?” huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/m…

I strongly disagreed with those reductions but, in fairness they were before Russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine and go back to the end of the Cold War and what almost everyone saw as a ‘Peace Dividend’. After that the last gov increased Defence spending.
Replying to @MATatBucks
Ha ha ha. It’s almost like you forget the reductions in our armed forces of the previous government…… no why would that be…… 😂

I stood down as Leader a year ago. I no longer have any influence over such things. Suggest you talk to the local councillors as cycling routes should be sensible and usable.
Replying to @MATatBucks
@MATatBucks you and I agree I would like safer cycle routes, so please ask your staff to reconsider the daftness that is the pinewood studios to iver station, at the moment the whole thing is bonkers we need a meeting

Why on earth is anyone feeling sorry for those ghastly four who have been jailed for attacking a Police Officer and causing over £1 million worth of damage?

If you listen carefully… you can hear my heart breaking
Four Pro-Palestine activists sentenced to SIX years in prison and branded TERRORISTS by judge over damage at Israeli arms factory in UK. Friends say the criminals are already 'struggling with their mental health' and that this outcone could 'tip them over the edge.

@War_Radar2

Andrew Neil writes that the rise of Andyism is merely postponing Labour's collapse by months: '...a prime minister ready to lead would ' find the money John Healey wanted – and raid Miliband’s budget as part of that process, making clear resistance would mean the sack.' 'The core defence budget is barely over 2 per cent of GDP...It’s fanciful to think Burnham would do anything about this. The Treasury would run circles around him and the current pathetic trajectory of defence spending would remain the same. He will have many problems to grapple with and in most he will be out of his depth – nowhere more so that in defence. I venture to suggest, before next spring has sprung he’ll probably be as unpopular then as Starmer is now. He’s not Labour’s new messiah. He’s just a likeable [!] lad from the North with an inflated conceit of his abilities — and so much learning on the job to do it will likely sink him.' dailymail.com/debate/article…

You almost sound like a sore loser?
It was hardly a balanced, decent and honest campaign. It was a national disgrace. But, congratulations, you won. The hollowest of victories.

Well deserved Phil.
Still a little in shock, but deeply grateful: Today, His Majesty The King has appointed me an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2026 Birthday Honours, for public service - recognising five years leading local and regional government for the UK and fifteen in government & politics. To everyone who stood alongside - especially my amazing family: thank you.

Thug come terrorist.
This is Samuel Corner, sledgehammer raised, ready to strike the police woman lying at his feet, arm held out in a vain plea for mercy. Samuel Corner is not a martyr nor a "young activist", he's just a common-or-garden thug.
