Slovenia is appalled by last night's Russian strike on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra - a #UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the holiest shrines of Orthodox Christianity. Setting ablaze a sacred place of worship is an assault on our shared cultural and spiritual heritage. This strike is part of Russia's relentless campaign against Ukrainian cities and civilians. Deliberately attacking places of worship constitutes a war crime and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. Once again, Russia makes clear it has no genuine interest in negotiations. #Slovenia remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine and its people on the path to a just and lasting peace.
