We're excited for so many people to see what living in the Seattle area is all about!
The long-awaited floating soccer field hosted by the Sounders and Reign FC arrived in Seattle on Tuesday and made its way through Elliot Bay.
The project, called “Seattle Soccer Celebration powered by Lenovo,” will center around a custom-built soccer field atop a maritime vessel docked near Pier 62 at Waterfront Park.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony to kick off the Seattle Soccer Celebration, powered by Lenovo, is on Wednesday at Pier 62.
Several speakers from the community, including representatives from Reign FC, Sounders FC, Friends of Waterfront Park, and Seattle Sports Commission, will be in attendance.

A new look at regional housing data shows that Seattle’s homes skew older compared to other major U.S. metros. With 43.3% of the city’s housing stock built before 1980, Seattle ranks 38th out of 55 large metros for housing age.
