June 14, 1985
TWA Flight 847, a Boeing 727, is hijacked by Lebanese militants. One passenger is murdered during the three-day ordeal.
The latest video from Mentour Pilot tells – and in great detail – the story of Air Ontario 1363 aka "The Dryden Air Crash".
While the dangers of ice on aircraft has been known for a long time – even in quantities as small as 0.030 inches - this case is of particular significance on WHY the aircraft was not de-iced.

It looks like a simple icing accident. It wasn't. What seems like a simple crash goes far deeper than you'd expect.

When it´s not your day to die
On This Day in 1989: a TAMPA Colombia cargo DC-8 has its forward main cargo door opened in flight shortly after takeoff from Florida. The crew was able to turn back and land safely at Miami International Airport.
