Earlier last month ALRB staff conducted outreach to farmworkers in the fields in Oxnard. Staff also participated in a Press Conference and Labor Caravan to inform agricultural workers about their rights around sick leave, retaliation, heat illness, and workplace injuries. The following day we conducted outreach to workers attending Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project (MICOP)'s food distribution.

California is implementing SUN Bucks, a federal program that helps low-income kids get adequate nutrition when school is out for the summer.
We already offer free school meals during the school year—now we're making sure their needs are met all year.
