🚨Greatest risk for tree damage and power outages is in southeast MA and RI where 55-75 mph wind gusts combine with heavy, wet snow.

Another major winter storm is heading our way for Sunday night thru Monday. MIT Emergency Management is monitoring and will provide updates for our campus throughout the storm.
[High Impact Winter Storm] A major winter storm will bring heavy snow with blizzard conditions and power outages possible. High confidence in 10 to 20 inches of snow across eastern MA/RI, but more uncertainty across western MA/CT dependent on the western extent of heavy snow.

[Winter Weather Wed PM] A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for western & central MA Wed afternoon and night. Mainly rain develops late Wed am into the early afternoon...which changes to snow/sleet between 2 and 7 pm. Narrow swath of 2-4" with localized 5" amounts possible.
