My daughter died at age 28 of metastatic breast cancer. This is a sensitive topic with me.
While pushing regular mammograms back to 40 in Ontario helped save my life, my best friend never saw her 34th birthday. It should be 30. Still having it at 50 in some provinces is criminal.

"It turns out that pets also have last wills before they die, but only known to vets who put old and sick animals to sleep." Twitter user Jesse Dietrich asked a vet what the hardest part of his job was. The specialist replied without hesitation that the hardest thing for him was seeing how old or sick animals look for their owners before they fall asleep. The fact is 90% of owners don't want to be in a room with a dying animal. People leave so they don't see their animals leave. But they don't realize it's in these last moments of life that their animal needs them the most. Vets are asking owners to stay close to animals until the end. "It is inevitable that they die before you. Remember that you were the center of their lives. Maybe they were just a part of you. But they are also your family. Even if it's hard, don't give up on them. Don't let them die in a room with a stranger in a place they don't like. It's very painful for vets to see how pets can't find their owner in the last minutes of their lives. They don't understand why their master left them. After all, they needed the consolation of their master. Veterinarians do their best to make animals not so scared, but they are totally strangers to them. Don't be a coward because it's too painful for you. Think about the animal. Endure that pain for them. Be with them until the end.πŸ’žπŸ™

"Every minute someone leaves this world behind. Age has nothing to do with it. We are all in "the line" without knowing it. We never know how many people are before us. We can not move to the back of the line. We can not step out of the line. We can not avoid the line. So while we wait in line: Make moments count. Make priorities. Make the time. Make your gifts known. Make a nobody feel like a somebody. Make your voice heard. Make the small things big. Make someone smile. Make the change. Make love. Make up. Make peace. Make sure to tell your people they are loved. Make sure to have no regrets. Make sure you are ready…” Beautifully written by Marsha Destreza ❀️ Amazing Artwork by Logan Zillmer ❀️

THANKS to our WONDERFUL NEIGHBOURS AND FRIENDS TOMMYBOY IS HOME ‼️ He's not telling us how he got in their barn, but Kim caught a glimpse of an orange cat. They called me and over I went armed with kitty treats. And he came out when I called him. for him. Thank you.

TommyBoy is home ‼️‼️‼️‼️ We are so very thankful to our neighbours for finding him. He refuses to explain how he got in, or why he couldn't get out of their barn. πŸ€”πŸ€”Wondering he understands that he is grounded for the next few kitty lives. β€οΈπŸ’™β€οΈπŸ’™β€οΈπŸ’™β€οΈπŸ’™β€οΈπŸ’™β€οΈπŸ’™β€οΈπŸ’™β€οΈπŸ’™

We all die. I get it. I accept it, I accept that I'll probably die of metastatic breast cancer. That I probably don't have much time left. That I love you all. That I'll miss you. But I also rage against it! I might not have time to wait for the SERA2 trial but I'd rather die fighting, with every part of my soul that's left,to live than accept it. I'll accept it if I have to but I also don't want to assume anything because you don't know until you're dead. Please donate as I may need to get into a trial sooner. Donate to potentially lengthen my life, but also donate so my body and my cancer can give knowledge that may one day help find the cure to this absolute crap pile of a disease. gofundme.com/f/libbys-cancer…

Please remember my go fund me. I am collecting money with the goal of doing a trial in the United States. I have my eye on the Sera2 trial which I hope will open while I am still healthy enough to enter it. Anything helps. Shares are also appreciated. gofundme.com/f/libbys-cancer…

doing a fundraiser in hopes of eventually entering a clinical trial about $1020 away from what I think of as my first 'milestone' number, $25,000. If you have some spare change or is willing to share to help me reach that goal I'd really appreciate it gofundme.com/f/libbys-cancer…
