Please, please, please internet gods and good-hearted people. Hazel’s saga is heartbreaking and unresolved. Please spread the word to #bringhazelhome
ok, we are moving into a big public awareness campaign hoping that whoever might have Hazel sees it. we are going to need billboards and maybe other kinds of community advertising. NO pressure but if you want to chip in (turns out billboards cost a lot): gofundme.com/f/4wbthr-bring-…

Are you travelling by @SouthernRailUK this weekend? My friend Lucie desperately needs your help. She has spent nine months hand making this beautiful quilt out of disused kimono silk for her oldest friend's brand new baby:

I'll straight up listen to "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" while I'm dancing in the street, and "Dancing in the Street" while I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay. I really don't give a shit anymore.

Since seeing this study, I’ve been dancing to at least one song a day while cooking. I’m treating it like physical therapy in terms of accountability. Can so far confirm that it’s way funner than PT and I will carry on…

Honestly can’t stop thinking about this study. Dancing is *dramatically* more effective than our best attempts at treating depression, pharmaceutical or not. It clearly has *massive* psychological benefits. But how often do you dance? Do you ever do it sober? Did your therapist recommend dancing? Are you on SSRIs but never dancing? If this replicates and is taken seriously it’s potentially life changing for so many people. I gotta dance more.

Please share; looking for sources. If you or someone you know has experience growing/planning a #survival or #prepper #garden & would be willing to talk with me for an academic paper, please let me know. Can give you credit or keep you anonymous, whichever you prefer. TIA!

In my online asynchronous classes, I'm looking at a number of ways to revise my materials to incorporate the AI era. One consideration: replacing reading quizzes (the most frequent places I see AI-generated text) with live zoom "interviews" with students about the readings. /1

I'd have fewer of these interviews than I currently have quizzes, and they'd be scheduled by students to fit into their calendars. Have other folks used this sort of thing? I'd love to hear how it went. #academictwitter 2/2
