Pace Gallery has dropped 50 artists from its roster of 135 and eliminated 50 of its 250 staff, the NYT reports. "The current gallery model isn't only broken, it's unfixable," CEO Marc Glimcher said, adding that Pace will refocus on roughly 80 artists.

Congrats to this year’s winners of the Congressional Art Competition!
It was amazing to see the incredible talent of our VA-11 high school artists.
I urge all of the students who participated, and those who didn’t, to continue pursuing and celebrating art.
Free people make art, and art makes people free.
Happy Pi Day! While 3/14 relates to the mathematical constant π -the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter- it's also Albert Einstein's birthday. A memorial to the physicist stands just across Constitution Ave & shows him sitting on an (of course!) circular platform.
