This compression creates locally templated regions composed of tetragonal-phase FAPbI3 distributed nonuniformly throughout the film with fewer crystalline defects than purely cubic regions. This technique provides an indepth understanding of the 2D templating for FAPbI3

The news doesn't stop there! WE ALSO MADE THE COVER OF SCIENCE! In the cover, we try to show how the 2D perovskites template the 3D perovskite layer and the Lead Iodine Octahedra, "their 2D template leader," growing a stable FAPbI3 film

Supported by machine learning, a multiparameter phase diagram of 2D halide perovskites for both Ruddlesden−Popper (RP) phases and Dion−Jacobson (DJ) phases are plotted. This work indicates that kinetics control is fundamental in realizing phase purity in 2D perovskites
