THE KARL KIEFER LEADERSHIP COUNCIL “Leadership Isn't Given. It's Answered.” Coach Karl Kiefer built two Arizona football powers and became one of the winningest coaches in Arizona history with more than 300 career victories, three state championships, and a reputation for discipline, accountability, toughness, and genuine care for young men. He believed football was about building men first and players second. His legacy became so impactful that Mountain Pointe's stadium bears his name. Arizona HS Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame One of the most powerful descriptions ever given about Coach Kiefer was: "He was turning me into a man." Today we proudly announce the inaugural Karl Kiefer Leadership Council for the 2026-2027 season. This council carries the name of one of the greatest coaches in Arizona High School Football history — a man whose legacy was built on discipline, accountability, toughness, servant leadership, and excellence. These young men have been selected because they represent the standards of Mountain Pointe Football both on and off the field. Their responsibility is bigger than football.
