The more you bullshit, the more likely you are to fall for other people's bullshit. Data: those who exaggerate their expertise to impress others are more vulnerable to misinformation. When people speak without concern for the truth, they can't be trusted to recognize the truth.

Feeling stuck? Go for a walk. There is no mental block strong enough to outlast the power of a 30-minute walk. It's a fact that some of your most creative moments come during periods of boredom. • On a walk • In the shower • Driving in silence • At dinner by yourself You’re bored, your mind wanders, and your thoughts mingle. Bam! Creative insight strikes. Schedule more boredom into your weeks. Simple challenge for all of you: Go for a 30-minute tech-free walk every single day next week. • No phone • No music • No podcasts • No articles • No audiobooks Just you, your thoughts, your gratitude, and the fresh air. It’s a simple reset that will unlock new creativity and shift your perspective.

Toxic cultures exploit generosity. Takers impose extra work on givers, and no good deed goes unpunished. Healthy cultures reward generosity. People protect givers from takers, and cream rises to the top. Helpfulness is not a weakness to target. It's a strength to safeguard.

Many people see hard work as a sign of virtue. But a strong work ethic doesn't guarantee strong ethics. Instead of attaching worth to the effort people expend, we should prize the values they exemplify. Character is a function of generosity and integrity, not industriousness. ted.com/talks/azim_shariff_d…
