20 years ago today, at the age of 15, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis - a chronic & complex neurological disease.
Iโve tried to mark this day each year with some words.
This year, the weight of it feels heavier than ever.
Thereโs more Iโve never said โ until now.

But still โ Iโve kept going. Somehow.
Even on the days it didnโt feel worth it.
Even when I felt like I had nothing left.
Even when I wished I could just press stop.

20 years of MRIs.
Brainโs โfineโ.
Also apparently a 35-year-old lady.
Still mislabelled. Still fobbed off.
Living just to reach the end โ while professionals disagree or barely listen.
Should feel victorious. Or grateful.
But I donโt.
A small win in a miserable life.

Every day I feel hurt of comparing what I used to be able to do (physically and mentally) and the hurt that Iโm now restricted from this, for health reasons unconnected to MS. Iโm very sad.
I continue to try accept this and hopefully these little bits can help chip away at it.
