Terrible news.
Gary flew myself and @MScanlan7 around south west Queensland throughout the 2010/11 floods, including getting us in to Toowomba on the day of the tragic ‘inland tsunami’.
A 24 hours etched in my memory forever.
An incredible pilot and even better bloke. RIP mate.

Flowers and a XXXX for a much loved pilot and his passengers who lost their lives in a light plane crash near Fernvale yesterday. Pilot Gary Liehm and passengers Tom and Noah Strauchan’s vehicles remain at the Archerfield hangar this morning. @sunriseon7 @7NewsBrisbane
