The richest man on Earth dismantled the organization that feeds the poorest children on earth. He also cancelled all of the global Ebola prevention programs. The UN has now declared Ebola outbreak a global health emergency. Elon Musk’s dismantling of USAID has already killed more children than in Gaza and Ukraine combined. He cut lifetimes for millions and the result is a silent massacres. Nor should we forget his complicity in the genocide in Gaza, as well as in the war in Ukraine and the Epstein case. I don’t understand how billionaires think. If I only had one billion dollars, I would rush to fix our world problem. Homeless, hungry, poverty, wars, climate change... etc. They can be heroes and not just billionaires. What a waste.

What the fuck... "...Carney is quietly bringing-in sweeping reforms to the pesticides law, making it more difficult for the government to ensure that the air you breathe, the water you drink and the food you eat is safe from dangerous toxins." thestar.com/politics/politic…

Deeply integrating our economy with the United States is what made Canada so vulnerable to Trump’s bullying in the first place. This isn’t what Canadians voted for.

I was told at the borough council meeting yesterday that there too many rules to act on abandoned buildings, but enough flexibility to regulate Airbnb? You can’t be powerless on vacancy and powerful on short-term rentals. As the mayor, you make the fucking rules.
“There are an estimated 9,500 Airbnb rentals in Montreal right now. Making these illegal would not only drastically bring down rents — they’d come down so much, it’s conceivable that a lot of homeless people suddenly might not be so homeless.” #polmtl cultmtl.com/2026/04/the-city…

The vast majority of Quebecers (84%) have a negative opinion of Elon Musk. Musk is literally as unpopular here as Donald Trump. Even on the rare chance that Quebecers actually agree with his opinion, we absolutely don’t give a fuck about anything he has to say. ⚜️
A reminder that Quebec is the most anti-Elon Musk province in Canada. cultmtl.com/2025/06/quebec-i…

Hey @MTL_Ville, if you’re going to release something about how you want to create “cohabitation” with the city’s nightlife, maybe don’t use words like “noise pollution” to describe the sounds coming out of our venues.

We used to joke that there should just be a custom Duolingo style app for Quebec, but you know it would be terrible, take 10 years to make, come in $1BN over budget and be designed by the mob.

Montrealers will really say, one day later, 'It's not so bad, winter's almost over' meanwhile the whole city looks like this.

Montreal police paid $1.8 million to purchase AI video analysis software last year, but refused to name the specific software or company. A student newspaper, The Concordian, did the digging. It's iMotion ROC, a product with scary capabilities.

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change — all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

The idea that the country that can do whatever it wants consistently chooses that power for the routine deployment of violence instead of ensuring housing, health, and stability shows that cruelty is a policy choice.

This is a lie - Canadian dairy standards ban steroids, which are allowed in US & we have much stricter standards about bacteria in dairy products. It’s your choice if you want to risk it, but they are definitely NOT the same. BTW tariff upper limit referred to is never reached
It's amazing what anti-American propaganda can do. American milk is exactly the same as Canadian milk, it just costs more because we put tariffs on it to protect a wealthy cartel of Quebec farmers. But I guess Carney's gambling the country is full of suckers like this guy.
