Not trying to hyperbolize here:
I don't know if in the 130 hours playing if I had more than 2-3 contested extracts against us. It legitimately never happened, partly because we were able to slay lobbies before extract...
but that just meant it made extracts boring lol
Marathon’s biggest problem is that extracting is rarely ever exciting. In Arc Raiders, every extract point was guarded by a major enemy (Rocketeer, Leaper, etc). You never ever felt safe until you made it out.
Especially when the game was new, every extract was hype. Most marathon extracts are just waltzing up to the thing, calling it, and then leaving.
