New findings from @Schertzerlab out in @cellmetabolism show that trapping microbial D-lactate in the gut ⬇️#bloodglucose, #liverinflammation & #fibrosis in #obese mice. D-lactate⬆️#bloodglucose through a shunt in the #Coricycle, adding to a 100-year-old discovery.
