At Magic Bus India Foundation, we believe that learning goes beyond the classroom; and it is through real-world exposure that life skills truly come alive.
As part of our Adolescent Programme, we recently facilitated an Exposure Visit for our
#GirlsChampions to Lohardaga Mahila Thana. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical understanding, empowering young girls to navigate real-life situations with confidence and awareness.
During the visit, our girls had the opportunity to engage with Binita Hembrom, Sub-Inspector and In-charge of the Mahila Thana. She led an insightful session covering key aspects of the POCSO Act, women-related cases, and essential safety measures. The interaction also shed light on the role of the Mahila Thana in providing support and protection to women and girls, reinforcing trust in institutional systems.
Through this exposure visit, our Girls Champions gained a deeper understanding of:
• Legal provisions safeguarding children and women
• Mechanisms for seeking help and reporting concerns
• Preventive measures against violence
• The critical role of law enforcement in ensuring safety
Such initiatives are integral to our approach, enabling adolescents to connect life skills education with lived realities, fostering informed, resilient, and empowered young leaders.
