Ok….. I’m definitely going to not be humble about this but that’s me asking a first ballot HOF goalie about pranking people and the National Hockey League putting it in their package.

Ok I definitely felt that quake even in Chigasaki… I was on the couch and I just started bouncing. Dogs know immediately something was up. It was really quick but glad I wasn’t still at work. It was apparently much larger near Yokohama Station #earthquake

Over the weekend we went to Lake Tanzawa and Shasui Falls heading down towards Yamanashi and it did not disappoint ! This is the part of Japan I love the most. The nature and being alone in it with my wife and dogs !

Get Eli off there It’s Mark Messier and as much as I can’t stand him it’s Lawrence Taylor. Jeter sure .. I would put Mariano over him but I understand it and don’t hate it. I’d put Namath over Eli too

This Iran 🇮🇷 and New Zealand 🇳🇿 match has been awesome … Iran is really solid and Taremi even though he didn’t score is a stud. New Zealand has a bunch of players scattered around Europe and are a very respectable squad. Don’t want this one to end !

I went to a Yakult Swallows game recently and after the game fans who brought massive garbage bags with them were asking people to put trash in the bags. Went to the movies yesterday and people cleaned up their trash. It’s not always like this but there is a lot of pride in it.
Many American sports fans who treat their stadiums and arenas like garbage dumps could learn a lot from the Japanese.

Ok I’m just putting this out there but Tunisia’s national anthem is top notch. Just heard it and it’s really good.

This is bad ass ! Kanagawa well represented on the national team as I think 7 players are from there as is Endo. Sadly no players from Shonan 😢 Doesn’t hurt that both Yokohama F Marinos and Kawasaki Frontale were premier J League teams for a decade

I said Japan needed a draw at a minimum when I saw the groups but after all the injuries I wondered if that was realistic. This team has skill, talented players all over the pitch and they play their asses off until the final whistle ! Massive goal by Kamadasan ! #japan
Japan leave it late to earn a draw 🇯🇵🤝 A late Kamada equaliser preserves Asia’s unbeaten record at this World Cup 🌏

If there is anything these NBA Finals have taught me it’s that this guy is no class act like David Robinson or Tim Duncan. Such a dirty cheap player

My passion fruit plant arrived and I am letting it adjust to its new environment before I plant it later today. The best part is the entire plant is safe for dogs as mine like to go to Sweet Tomatoes when they can sneak it in. God I miss Sweet Tomatoes

I was there and the stadium was electric because everyone immediately knew what was happening. I was in Endo’s home town of Totsuka yesterday and I just felt immense heartbreak for him. #ynwa
Throwback to when Virgil Van Dijk gave Wataru Endo the captain band in front of the fans in his hometown stadium in Japan 🇯🇵❤️.

While I’m gutted for Endo as a Shonan and Liverpool fan to see another former Shonan Bellmare player get the call makes it a little better. I was actually in Totsuka today and couldn’t stop thinking about how a kid from there captained Japan and won the PL with Liverpool
🇯🇵 Shuto Machino has finally made it to Dallas. Multiple flight cancellations and an overnight stop in Chicago later, he’s there. The World Cup adventure starts now. 😅

I’ve never done any gardening in my life but decided to plant some 🍅 back in April and I’ve got my first real tomatoes to eat. Had a few singles but first time I’ve had a few. 2 different types. Making 🌮 tomorrow night so they’ll be part of that ! Can you guess what types ?

Refs really screwed the pooch there, if Hall isn’t hurt that should be embellishment. Denies a transition opportunity for Vegas #forgedingold

On the eve of the World Cup Japan’s captain retires due to injury. Really gutted for him and for my new adopted home. Obviously as a Liverpool fan it stings too. He began his career at my local club here in Japan and became a PL champion. Will certainly miss Endo. #worldcup
Wataru Endo has withdrawn from Japan’s World Cup squad due to injury, and announced his retirement from international football. Keep your head up, Wata ❤️

If I had a kid who played hockey I’d want him to study Mark Stone. Guy wasn’t born with elite skating ability but his IQ and desire to win are elite. He’s kind of unassuming which makes him even more dangerous. He’d probably have multiple Selke Awards if he was a center.
COACHES: Years ago I asked one of my smartest hockey development buddies who I should do a player study on. His suggestion: Mark Stone. I was like, "Really?" He said - "Dude, trust me." I was blown away. His hockey sense legit blew me away. His game doesn't "look" pretty, but he's one of the smartest players in the NHL. Here are a couple examples from last night. Incredible anticipation and a reading of the game. First defensively reading where the play is going to create the turnover and breakaway. Then reading the defensive structure and finding the passing lane for the breakaway and goal. If you're interested, zone in on Mark Stone next game. I promise you won't be disappointed.
