1: I lost friends over giving the JCPOA an “A” and … god damn it … I hope this clusterfuck causes some people to rethink their approach to assessing diplomatic solutions. It was, given the constraints, basically a miracle.
I'll say it again. The JCPOA was a pretty good deal. Not perfect but pretty good. Maybe more people will see that now

Daily Ukraine map thread for Monday 15th June 2026 Kyiv and other cities were struck by numerous missiles last night. Whilst most of the footage was of attacks on the Lavra, it looks like a Firepoint drone production or assembly facility was hit somewhere judging by some of the photos going around of stacked wing spars in wreckage. As always, loose lips sink ships and all that - if you're hearing it from us, that means it's long gone public ready. The Ukrainian midstrike and long range campaign continues apace. Numerous units from across the spectrum show destroyed vehicles. The lesser shown off short range drones are still destroying many many vehicles, as demonstrated by a Russian quad driving a short distance towards Hulyaipole coming across at least 17 wrecks. No BDA from Rybinsk Strategic Oil Reserve yet, but Tamanneftegaz shows three further large oil tanks destroyed. Plenty more to go.

I think most governments have assessed that. Certainly that is the case in Europe. To most of us it is clear that he has the mental level of a very immature child in its most narcisistic phase of childhood. Dementia and his malevolent and cynical nature, does not help.
1/ Iran has reportedly assessed that Donald Trump is "mentally incompetent" and has incorporated psychologists into its negotiating team to adapt the wording of the proposed agreement "as if the recipient were a [mental] patient ... whose capacity is limited." ⬇️

That's what these MAGA creatures do not understand. War is politics. If you destroy more of the enemy, that is almost irrelevant if you end up losing politically. And clearly Iran,a despicable regime, won as expected. It should not take an expert like Tom to explain that really.
Trump supporters are hoping against all odds that the MOU will not be terrible. But even without the MOU, here are the realities: America lost, and Iran is now more politically powerful than four months ago.

Spoke with a SAAB representative for the GL-SDB project which told me that all contracted missiles have been delivered to Ukraine and that no new other has been placed so far. The initial poor performance of the system came both from its extremely short development period and lack of proper training for the end user. By the time the system had been dialled in the Russians had gotten to a point that they could easily jam the GPS guidance of the GBU-39 which Boeing is now working to solve.

Yesterday, alongside the state-owned enterprise ‘Kombinat Temp’, the ‘Palkino’ oil pumping station—which facilitates the export of Russian oil via the port of Primorsk in the Leningrad Oblast—was also hit. Both sites are currently still ablaze. In fact, this is what we wrote about earlier. The defunding of terrorists continues.

Sytuacja w rejonie: Iskra - Nowoseliwka (Pokrowske). Syrskiego i Sztabu Generalnego. W rejonie Iskry rozmieszczono 2 batalion 80 Brygady Desantowo-Szturmowej. Z kolei wspierający to natarcie 1. batalion szturmowy 425.

On February 28, President Trump laid out five military objectives for the US war with Iran: - “Destroy Iran’s missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground.” - “Annihilate Iran’s navy.” - “Ensure that Iran’s terrorist proxies can no longer destabilize the region or the world and attack our forces.” - “Ensure that Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon.” - Prevent Iran from using “IEDs or roadside bombs, as they are sometimes called, to so gravely wound and kill thousands and thousands of people, including many Americans.” Three-and-a-half months later, the US has achieved none of these objectives. - According to US intelligence assessments, Iran has retained roughly 70% of its prewar missile stockpile and mobile launchers. Iran’s missile and drone production infrastructure also remains largely intact. - US intelligence also concludes that Iran’s nuclear capacity remains broadly unchanged since last summer, with Iran still needing roughly a year to build a bomb. - While the U.S. succeeded in significantly damaging Iran’s conventional navy, it did not weaken Iran’s capacity to impose maritime costs or disrupt ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. - Iranian proxies (specifically Hezbollah) are still destabilizing the region. - The threat from Iranian IEDs no longer exists because US troops have been out of Iraq for 15 years. Indeed, the agreement reached this weekend with Iran only requires Tehran to reopen the Straits of Hormuz to maritime traffic ... an issue that arose solely BECAUSE of the war. Then there are the enormous direct and indirect costs of the war. After only three months, the war has cost the United States at least $30 billion in direct costs and the U.S. economy hundreds of billions in indirect costs. It has killed and wounded U.S. servicemembers, damaged U.S. bases, depleted scarce munitions, raised energy prices, strained relations with partners, and left Washington scrambling to restore the status quo it disrupted. Even if there were tangible benefits to the war, the costs would more than outweigh them. Even worse, the war empowered Iranian hard-liners, demonstrated its leverage over the Strait of Hormuz and, in turn, the global economy, and, because of the depletion of America's weapons stockpiles, has made it more difficult for the US to respond to future military crises. This is worse than a failure. It is a strategic calamity. Read the comprehensive report that we published at the Stimson Center earlier this month on the disaster that is the Iran War. stimson.org/2026/is-the-iran…

❗️Poland has paused the transfer of MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine pending an agreement on drone technologies. Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk said Warsaw wants to benefit from Ukrainian experience with drone swarms and interceptor UAVs. Earlier reports indicated Poland was prepared to transfer nine MiG-29s as part of a broader defense cooperation arrangement. #Poland

It's the cultural currency of the likes of Idi Amin and Muammar Khadaffi. A vulgar display of Roman reenactment that the German nazis did much better/grandiose and with far, far more style. Banana Republic display.
If this is cultural currency, bring back Nixon walking on the shore in his oxfords

As Ukrainian strikes on Russia's oil infrastructure continue, the fuel crisis appears to be spreading across the country. Long queues at gas stations are now forming even along the highway connecting Moscow and St. Petersburg.

#Lennartmericonference
