If you’ve followed me for the past 4 years, I like to think it’s clear that I LOVE this show (S1 & S2). And I honestly loved 3x1.
For any criticism I have about 3x2, I still think the show is exceptional. And I have nothing but trust that this team will stick the landing for S3

And there was so much I loved in 3x2 itself — the band banter, Christine, Daniel & Louis hashing it out, the French song 💔, the exclusive fan experience with Thomas Pitt and his esquire 🤣 — We’re in excellent hands here and I’m thrilled to be on the ride for the next 5 weeks 💙

So I’ve never liked how the intro to Lestat’s theatre days is told in the show first by Armand in 2x3. I know a lot of people like this wild, fanfic quality— & I understand structurally why they included this in S2—but it never sat right with me this was the show’s intro to that—

—And my biggest concern from 3x2, is that this breakneck rush through Lestat’s Auvergne years is now this precedent for that time of his life, and everything that needs to rest on it—the wolves and how this leads to his & Nicki’s relationship, and then Magnus abducting Lestat—

—will be colored by this first rushed retelling that we got through Lestat trying to hastily explain “the vampire incest factor”. Which I how feel showing Lestat first as harlequin affects that storyline.
