"If we want to make a bigger impact, it's going to be a compassionate life, not a comfortable life."
@TimTebow's conversation with @BrentBeshore at Main Street Summit 2025 is worth your time.

@david_perell at Main Street Summit 2025 gave a talk that reframes how you see literally everything around you.
The core idea: “What we make reveals what we value.” 🧵
The fix isn’t nostalgia or money. It’s “democratic beauty” — everyone, regardless of wealth, deserves to routinely experience man-made beauty. “All it takes is somebody with a little bit of vision.”
He ends on the post office: from marble murals to “you’re a transaction to be processed.”
His question: “What should we infer about a culture that no longer values making beautiful things for ordinary people?”

MSS 2026 Speaker @shaneparrish on Chung Ju-yung, the founder of Hyundai — and the kind of resourcefulness most of us forget is even possible.
A two-minute read that will sit with you for a week.
This is one of the craziest stories ever.
And it's full of insights you can apply in life and work.
Chung Ju-yung started so poor that he ate tree bark as a kid to survive. Before he passed away, he was one of the ten richest people in the world.
His autobiography describes how he escaped poverty, developed the mindset to succeed, founded Hyundai (one of the world's largest conglomerates), and lifted an entire country out of poverty.
Every time I read this book, I'm inspired to go faster and further.

At @MainStSummit 2025, @TimTebow spoke about fighting worldwide sex trafficking. A supremely noble and incredibly hard life mission. I was very impressed, and humbled at his service to the world. Truly incredible. There more in this life we can all be doing. @MatthewChang maybe you and @RobertMSterling can create robotic assistants to help fight this. At least with labor trafficking.
In 2009 my parents came to visit me in Jacksonville. My parents are Baptist and being a good son, I took them to church at the largest Baptist church in Jacksonville.
The guest preacher that day was Bob Tebow. He spit fire. Epic.
But he also wore a championship ring from UF. Tim Tebow had his championship ring sized for his father’s hand, not his own. Tebow said that the national championship ring belonged to his father, because his father gave everything to make him who he was.
God bless the Tebows.
