In this session we will look at equity through the lens of Wabanaki Studies in the classroom. We will dig into why it is important to teach about Wabanaki, the first people of this land, as well as how to effectively. Wabanaki who were not given the right to vote until 1967, are an integral part of this state's democracy. We'll look at ways to teach about Wabanaki in a way that unites us and builds off each others strengths.
