Loving the micro:bit - this is a fun activity that teaches people about basic electronics & programming concepts, combined with hands on making & problem solving skills to make their box secure #STEAM#microbit
One of our mums who is passionate about food is sharing an experiment she found in @medickinson’s awesome kitchen science book that explores what Acids & Bases are & how PH indicators work #kapai
We also built a memory game using a breadboard and Arduino - lots of fun and nice intro into using software and hardware #markerednzyoutu.be/yP5fftzxgWY
This circuit uses an IC (555 timer) to create a blinking light.
Challenge: change the resistor values and see what happens to the speed of the LED blinks
It was a circuit building kinda day: Basic circuits, light dependent circuits, blinking LEDs with 555 timers, light sensors controlling noise volume circuits and memory games built with breadboards & Arduinos #hardfun#makerednz
From simple circuits, to a table top arcade machine, we had lots of fun @TaupakiSchool Digi-Tech expo sharing our making & learning journey with our community
Three challenges:
1. Build your driving base
2. Program it to go forward & back & then in a square shape
3. Add to your build to enable your robot to pick an object up
