In this experiment, Jafar faces a fun challenge: he’s presented with two cups. By observing the content of just one cup, he deduces what must be in the other! 🧠 It’s amazing to see his problem-solving skills in action, giving us insight into primate cognition and learning.
We're thrilled to have Jafar onboard, but we’re not stopping here! We’re inviting new research sites with primates to join the project-as long as they comply with our ethical guidelines. If you’re interested in joining, reach out to learn how you can contribute!
🚨Interested in joining a #BigTeamScience collaboration that investigates Reversal Learning across animal taxa?🐡🐵🐶🐭🐦⬛Learn how you can get involved by joining our Lightning Talk session, along with @ManyDogsProject and @Many_Babies, at 15:30 UTC / 11:30 ET @BigTeamSciCon!
1. ManyDogs is an international consortium, inspired by ManyLabs, ManyBabies, and @ManyPrimates. We aim to foster #OpenScience and collaboration within #CanineCognition, while addressing reproducibility in canine research and building large international datasets. #AnimBehav2021

What about the brain best predicts short-term memory in primates?
In our new paper, we found that whole brain size - not specific regions or EQ - is the best predictor. This suggests domain-general rather than specific cognitive foundations.
