I want to talk about men's mental health month. And before anyone says anything, I know June is a month for a lot more as well. We can celebrate all these things at the same time. They dont cancel each other out. This specific post is just about men's mental health. ๐
In just the past 2 months, I've seen and heard about 3 men's suicide. One was a childhood friend, another a friends brother, and another someone who I'm sure people in the VTubing world also heard about. And this is only in the past 2 months and only the ones I know about. There could be so many others who suffer in silence, pressured to always be strong until they can't anymore.
I know there's bad men out there who hurt people. But what about the ones who are genuinely good and also were hurt? They deserve to be shown kindness and gentleness as well. The change in the world we want to see, it starts with us.
To the men who might feel invisible or struggling, I'd like to say that it's okay and safe to be soft and gentle. It doesn't make you weak. It's okay to have emotions, to not be okay, to not always have it all together. You do matter. People will be sad when you leave. People who might have only talked to you for a single moment, they will care. I promise. You don't have to join the 27 club. You can go beyond it. You will be okay, even if it doesn't feel like it right now.
Lead with kindness. You never know who's battling with what. โค๏ธโ๐ฉน

Please communicate with your collab partners!! You'll save them a lot of headaches and anger them less. It sucks for everyone involved if no one communicates ๐
Do you guys have any bad collab experiences?
My worst one was a couple years ago with a VTuber. We were supposed to play Valorant together, but something came up on their end. They canceled less than an hour before we were scheduled to go live. I get that emergencies happen, so I reached out to rescheduleโฆ and got completely ghosted. A short while later, they even unfollowed me.
We had similar-sized audiences, so it wasnโt like I was a nobody to them. I was just left hanging with nothing. I hope they were okay, but it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.

Also stop being such blatant creeps. Like the gall to be weird to your collab partner *on stream* and not take no for an answer in front of everyone is wild to me. It's so cringe and puts the person on the spot
