Algorand's Debt Standard Application took second place at the global ACTUS Use Case Competition. ACTUS is the universal standard for machine-executable financial contracts. The judges recognised D-ASA for actually delivering what the tokenized debt space has mostly only promised: end-to-end execution of debt contract logic, live on-chain. Not a proof of concept. Running now on-chain.

The German Federal Foreign Office / @GermanyDiplo and @PoliSync piloted blockchain-based USDC aid payments to Damascus, Syria, through @HesabPay_, using Algorand as the settlement layer. Results from the pilot: • Up to 73% lower transaction costs • Payments were 42x faster • Greater transparency across the payment flow A strong example of blockchain infrastructure improving humanitarian aid payments in complex environments.

It was a pleasure discussing the challenges and opportunities related to institutional adoption with @ethereumfndn and @StellarOrg in beautiful Stockholm at the @nordicblock conference. Thanks @candicekteo for moderating the panel. Most panel members agreed that technology, not ecosystem will determine which chains will win the battle for institutional adoption. Researchers just published a paper proposing @Algorand for quantum resistant timestamping in open science! They even included a full step by step guide showing other researchers how to timestamp data on $ALGO! 👀 Algorand has supported post quantum Falcon signatures since 2022 through State Proofs, helping protect its entire transaction history against future quantum threats! 🔐 The paper argues that in a world of AI generated deepfakes and synthetic data, researchers need immutable proof that datasets, hypotheses and preregistrations existed at a specific point in time.
