#ESMAC2025 short reflection I just came back from Basel’s ESMAC conference took place. because, to me, an ESMAC encounter it’s not only a space for academic & scientific exchange; it’s a place for connection/discovery/amazement&inspiration, in what I think is a unique group.

Ayman Assi to Marjolein van der Krogt ESMAC presidency handover showed great camaraderie between board members but mostly shown how remarkable people they are. The full event seemed to run smoothly, providing everybody a space to learn, teach, hear, talk and enjoy.

This year I came back home inspired, with great ideas for the future for my research, and younger generations. I hope that, with the renewed energy and inspiration friends and colleagues from different parts of Europe. Thank you all for all the lessons, chats and laughs!
