This weekend, the Puerto Rican Cultural Center and the diaspora community proudly launched “Jolgorio Boricua en Humboldt Park: 250 Years without Kings, Tyrants, or Colonies” — a powerful gathering centered on self-determination and sovereignty for Puerto Rico. The event united local community members and representatives from seven states in vibrant conversation about the urgency, vision, and concrete paths for the island to move beyond its colonial status.
Thank you to all who participated, to the PRCC staff, and to
@urbantheater and Ola Barra Cocina Lounge for generously opening their space and helping make this possible.
