I've just added the 5th (!) variant of Mario Teaches Typing to my collection. And that's not even including Mario Teaches Typing 2. Who knew there were so many! I have a soft spot for this title due to being @CharlesMartinet's debut as Mario.

Nintendo video game collecting is fundamentally what I've done for decades, but I've been working hard for a while now to take my knowledge and passion to the next level (pardon the pun!). I'm on a mission to engage with the British public and industry, and work with charities such as the @TheBGI to promote the importance of video game preservation, and shape conversations around games as cultural and historical artefacts. I was honoured this week to have been invited to speak at @londongamesfest where I took to the main stage to talk about exactly this topic. It was truly special to have a platform to talk about 130 years of Nintendo, at an event that was mostly about promoting the newest indie games from the UK and beyond (thanks @BitSummit!)
