Good use of tax payer money??? Arresting people ( a significant proportion pensions) for holding up a non-offensive sign. What is this country coming to.... And under a labour government ???!!!!!theguardian.com/world/2025/a…

A total privilege to be involved in marshalling (on a bike) last week's big ride for Palestine. 45 miles of cycling with 150 plus people of all ages and ethnicities calling for change. One of many great highlights of the summer hols so far. ....

This also shows in particular the importance of achieving GDS.....Getting children to GDS in KS2 English & maths isn’t just about top scores – it could mean £60,000 extra in their lifetime earnings. Small steps to Greater Depth = big life impact.
This is so fascinating! Important longitudinal study on Key Stage 2 results and earnings. A MUST READ - Higher KS2 attainment is associated with higher lifetime earnings - Higher scores in Maths impact earnings more than English - Benefits from doing better in KS2 English remain more stable over time for earnings Download here 👉 assets.publishing.service.go…

A beautiful example of the difference a teacher can make........
Around 40 years ago this amazing lady Mrs Sharp was my mums English tutor - she empowered mum through language who in turn empowered generations of women in her family - daughters and grandaughters who have gone on to become Teachers, Cabinet Ministers, Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants, Pharmacists, Entrepreneurs, Authors, Philanthropists, Military Officers, Professional Cricketers….the list goes on and on. An army of strong women who are changing lives both here at home and abroad Language matters Thank you Mrs Sharp ❤️

The winner of Wolverhampton's Refugee Week writing competition-an absolute stunning piece of writing from a 10 year old from SS Mary and John. And Florence/her family/the school happy for it to be shared. @SchsofSanctuary @MichaelRosenYes @patmcfaddenmp @Sureena4WNE

A real example of a potential marginal gain (or gains!!!)
Which of your school policies has actually improved student outcomes or staff wellbeing this academic year? A simple calendar can track one policy per month, embedding reflection into practice – and keeping staff in the loop. For example, safeguarding in October, appraisal in January, SEND in March. bit.ly/4kSDoPf

Enable Ed signed this.....@Keir_Starmer needs to take a lead on such things in particular given the reduction in UK Aid

Dunno if it’s just me but with all these mostly very old men in charge bombing each others’ civilians in many corners of the earth I’m starting to wonder if we should let women have a go running things. Would there be quite as much carnage? Frankly I doubt it.

A depressing statistic.....and it is likely to get worse with reductions in Aid Budgets
There are over 122 million people forcibly displaced around the world, a new record. The figures for forced displacement have been breaking records for the past decade, a symptom of the failure to prevent and resolve conflict, protect civilians, and provide refuge.
