Speechless at this one. A wonderful combination of confident declaration and absolute ignorance. 10/10, and all I can do is applaud and pray harder for the meteor to take us all away.
JD Vance: If you go back to WW2 or every major conflict in human history, they all ended with some kind of negotiation.
Community note
World War II ended with unconditional surrenders by Germany on May 8, 1945, and Japan on September 2, 1945, rather than negotiation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconditi… archives.gov/milestone-docu… nationalww2museum.org/war/topics/end…

O'BRIEN: There've been no US peace efforts in Ukraine. Since Trump became president, he tried to get Putin best possible deal on Ukraine, tried to force Ukrainians give up their territory and people. That’s not peace. United States doesn’t want peace, it wants success for Putin.

Our Chris Richards. He completed all 83 passes he attempted for the @USMNT against Paraguay. The most passes with a 100% accuracy rate by any player in a @FIFAWorldCup match since 1966. @OptaJack 📊

Nehls: Donald Trump is the best thing to happen to this country in a hundred years. He was born a very special baby. I bet the doctors said, “I can tell this is a very special baby.”

The vibes are insane. Driving through the great state of Louisiana on our way to New Orleans. It’s crazy how diverse this country is, every day the scenery looks different.

I genuinely believe with the Hornet drone and Front Line Kit's latest unjammable heavy hitter, we can close the entirety of russia's medium-range logistics 💪 Support @frontlinekit, win the war.

Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA) faked a phone call for roughly 90 seconds after being asked about Speaker Mike Johnson’s comments regarding potential Social Security cuts. The phone's screen remained visible, with his cheek inadvertently tapping different parts of the display.

One of the most beautiful moments before Spain vs Peru pre-World Cup did not come from a goal, a tackle or a piece of skill. 🇪🇸 v 🇵🇪 💘 It came from kindness. As the players walked onto the pitch, Peruvian defender Fabio Gruber noticed that the young boy with Down syndrome accompanying him was feeling cold in the stadium. Without hesitation, he removed his own jacket and gently placed it over the boy’s shoulders. In that simple act, football showed its heart. Moments like this are why the world loves football. As we head towards the 2026 World Cup, may we see more of this spirit on and off the pitch. #FIFAWorldCup #fwc2026 ⚽❤️

Today, I signed a decree establishing a new special day – the Day of the Unmanned Systems Forces. From now on, it will be observed every year on June 11. A day of our respect and gratitude to the USF. For the first time in the world, such a branch of the military was created – in Ukraine. We are developing the USF to the max, and it is Ukrainians who have proved that through technology, ingenuity, and courage, we can change the nature of warfare. We can achieve objectives that were previously either completely out of reach of conventional weapons or extremely difficult to achieve and required an enormous expenditure of resources. In just one year since the establishment of the USF Grouping, Russian targets of various levels worth nearly $40 billion have been struck. Most importantly, these are different types of strikes, and each one expands our ability to save lives. The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are truly a model for many other militaries.

REP. BACON: President Trump wants to negotiate settlement between Ukraine and Russia, acting like referee in boxing match, but that’s not the case. There’s good versus evil here. Russia invading Ukraine, bombing cities every night. America should be unashamedly on the right side — the side of democracy, the side of Ukraine, country that wants to align with us. Russia hates us. Putin hates United States, hates what we stand for. I don’t know why President Trump can’t see that. I’ve waited year and a half in this Congress to get something done on Ukraine, and we’ve done nothing. There have been no votes, no policies from the leadership here or from President to support a country that is fighting for its life. I agree that Ukraine has the upper hand right now, but Russia is bombing those cities every night, and we should be there to help them defend against these ballistic missile attacks. Actions speak louder than words.
