Every day, all media should highlight the true cause behind soaring prices: a single man's failed policies. It's clear that the blame lies with the Republicans and Trump. #TrumpLovesTheInflation

Few better ways to celebrate this city — and the World Cup — than cheap eats. That's why starting June 11th through July 19th, New Yorkers can celebrate the World Cup with $26 meal deals at hundreds of restaurants across the five boroughs — from Little Caribbean in Flatbush to not one, but two Koreatowns. Bring fellow fans or team rivals and discover what makes New York City the world's city.

I think I’ve seen some of these… but real tech ads are frequently so ridiculous that it’s hard to know for sure.
Lmao would anyone even notice this in SF? I want to hear more about wireflow honestly…

Stay cool and dry NYC!
NYC, the Knicks are heating up and so are we. The heat index may hit 100 degrees today and tomorrow. We may also see severe thunderstorms, heavy downpours, and winds strong enough to down trees and power lines.
  These conditions are extremely dangerous.
Here’s how to keep you and your neighbors safe:
Seek air-conditioning. The City is activating hundreds of free, public cooling centers across the city. Find one nearest you, including accessible and pet-friendly options, by visiting nyc.gov/beattheheat or by calling 311.
Recognize the signs of heat illness. Call 911 immediately if you or someone you know has hot dry skin, trouble breathing, rapid heartbeat, confusion, disorientation, dizziness, nausea, or vomiting.
Call 311 if you see a homeless neighbor in need of assistance. Outreach teams are activated citywide to help connect vulnerable neighbors with safe, cool spaces.
If storms hit, go indoors. Use caution while traveling. Stay out of basement apartments.
Drink lots of water. Wear sunscreen. And check in on your neighbors. As always, sign up for emergency alerts: text NOTIFYNYC to 692-692.

Republicans win the White House, enact trickle-down tax cuts, and collapse the economy. Feel like we've been here before? Here's why it keeps happening.

The President of the United States is asleep at his desk. Again. Behind him stand seven grown adults in expensive suits, and not one of them is doing anything about it. One is mid-sentence. Another is gazing sideways with the haunted look of a man whose pension depends on never acknowledging what he can see in his peripheral vision. The rest of the world is watching, and the rest of the world has noticed something. Americans are terrified of authority. That fear has settled over this administration like a fog, and it turns otherwise functional adults into warm furniture. Nobody moves. Nobody speaks. The paralysis is total. In any European parliament, in any boardroom from Oslo to Ljubljana, someone would have leaned over by now. Tapped a shoulder. Said, quietly but clearly, that perhaps this isn’t the moment. Somebody would have done something, because the alternative, pretending a sleeping man is running a meeting, would have been too absurd to sustain. Not here. Here, seven men have collectively decided that the correct professional response to the President losing consciousness in the Oval Office is to carry on as though he were a particularly demanding houseplant.

Too many of this city’s extraordinary civic spaces have been closed off from the people they belong to. That's why I'm thrilled to open the cupola of the Dinkins Municipal Building for free public access to New Yorkers and visitors alike! Visit a856-centre360.nyc.gov

It would take far more than a month to honor the contributions of queer and transgender New Yorkers. From the Cercle Hermaphroditos in 1895, the first trans advocacy group in the United States, to the drag balls of the Harlem Renaissance, to the Stonewall uprising, to the Lesbian Herstory Archives, to ACT UP!, founded in 1987 as queer people fought for their lives while the Reagan administration looked away, New York City's history has long been shaped by queer and trans New Yorkers. To all our queer and trans neighbors: you deserve a City where you can afford to live safely, openly, and joyfully. Happy Pride, New York City.
