Politicians in this country have learned that lying is the best policy. They lie blatantly to our faces. They know they’re lying. We know they’re lying. But they’ve learned there’s nothing you can do about it. They won’t resign. They won’t stop their criminality and thieving from the taxpayer. They don’t care. Every second you spend debating them, they’re stuffing your hard earned cash into their pockets. They’re laughing at you. They’re taking more and more of your money and giving you less and less.

The government is always blaming the wholesale price of gas for high energy bills without ever explaining that wholesale prices are only one factor in final prices. Green levies, guaranteed minimum prices, the cost of subsidies for renewables and financing Grid upgrades all have a big impact on the price we pay eventually. But for the record: European wholesale gas prices averaged €20/MWh in 2019, over €40 in 2023 (post-invasion of Ukraine) and €27 in 2025 YTD. Yet Labour ministers still blame gas prices for rising energy bills … clearly they are not telling us the whole truth.
