This is a great walk and even better after hard work by the Estate Placement student and Forest Intern to repair infrastructure and clear vegetation yesterday- #Glenlivet

Excited to be on the way to setting up the first #Beewalk on #GlenlivetEstate
A lovely afternoon helping #rangerdog Darcy & @CrownEstateScot Ranger Mark set up a new #Beewalk transect on #GlenlivetEstate. Looking forward to inviting the community out to help count bumblebees on this route next spring! @BumblebeeTrust @Markquiff @CNPnature @SCRAOnline

It was inspiring to work with this group of switched on young people. Lots of enthusiasm, great ideas and a genuine devotion to teamwork and making sure everyone's voice was heard.

Our schedule of "Glenlivet Estate 2050" events and conversations was paused as a mark of respect, following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Now that the programme is resuming, we have extended the conversation period until 10 October 2022.
Our *Glenlivet Estate 2050* community conversation begins next week, and runs until 3 October. The project will explore how Glenlivet Estate might evolve over the next 30 years, with a range of meetings and two public drop-in events - full details ➡️bit.ly/3wPp6bg 1/2

Great to have some expert training and guidance on the bumblebees of @CrownEstateScot Glenlivet Estate
Today's fully booked ID workshop @ #GlenlivetVisitorCentre brought an interesting variety of #bumblebees... We recorded 2 cuckoo species & the scarce broken-belted bumblebee alongside more common species. Thanks to Head Ranger @Markquiff for being the host with the most!

So we’ve lost the last Malaysian Sumatran Rhino (30-100 survive in the wild) and now the Koala has been declared ‘functionally extinct’. How many more losses must we endure before we wake up to our planets impending death? It’s time to act now @ExtinctionR forbes.com/sites/trevornace/…
