More than 20 members of the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party are expected to submit a letter in the coming days seeking a debate at next Tuesday’s party meeting on the Triple Lock. Another heated discussion could be on the cards.

So, so happy for Adam Harris, the brother of FG leader and Tanaiste Simon. Adam has landed a new job as a CEO of another charity, and he can expect a 40% salary bump from €80-90k at AsIAm to around €120,000 at Social Entrepreneurs to manage 21 staff. Social Entrpreneurs doesn't get any official state funding at present (that might change, wha'!) but it does spend €500,000 a year on attracting €2m donations to invest in socially acceptable enterprises. Adam remains a commissioner at the €10m state-funded Irish (sic) Human Rights and Equality Commission and at €100m state-funded Rethink Ireland which hands out the dosh to good causes and that.

Sick of all this begrudgery towards Adam Harris! Having left secondary school in 2013, he started a charity. A tiny charity in the area of autism. In 2016, it had income of €126,000. BUT THEN.....

I would like to see the results if the question was instead framed as “Do you think adults should need to provide ID to use social media?”
Almost three-quarters of Irish adults are in favour of a social media ban for under-16s, according to new research rte.ie/news/2026/0618/157900…

29% of applicants on Ireland’s social housing waiting list are non-Irish, almost 1 in 3. Non-EEA households are 13% of the list, yet accounted for 48% of the annual increase between 2024 and 2025. We will never build enough homes to keep up with that level of demand, never mind clear the backlog for people who have languished on the list for years. Meanwhile workers earning €50k or €60k, paying marginal tax rates of 52%, are left with nothing, paying for everyone else’s better life.

The more I think about this the stranger it seems. The argument appears to be "We won't release the data because you don't have any data." Yeah, people know they don't have data - that's why they're asking the State to release it and end the speculation. That's the whole point.
Tánaiste Simon Harris says that it is “disinformation” to say that foreigners get housing ahead of Irish people, but also says he won't release nationality data for housing lists. @Ben_Scallan asks: “Why would you say it’s disinformation, but not want to release the figures?”

As the flicker of Midsummer's fire approaches, a timeless contest between the Robin and the Wren nears 🪶🔥 The Robin, with its breast glowing like the sun itself, is said to rule the bright half of the year, from Midwinter to Midsummer. But as the sun reaches its highest point and the days begin to draw in, the crown passes to the Wren who is the ruler and guardian of the dark half of the year ⏳🌙 Whilst this myth may be a modern one, it echoes older stories that were woven through nature many centuries ago and reflects the reality that every beginning has an end and every end carries the seed of a new beginning 🌱🌞 Meanwhile, real robins continue their midsummer duties, tirelessly gathering insects to feed their young and helping keep countless garden pests in check 🐦

The State's own housing data: non-EEA households on the qualified-need list rose 29.3% in one year. Irish applicants FELL by 628. Every net addition to the waiting list, and then some, is non-EEA. We're not building for the population we have, let alone the one we're importing.
Labour has said they fear releasing data on the nationalities of people allocated social housing could lead to “disgusting” abuse on social media. newstalk.com/news/housing-5-…

'Our revenge will be the abortion of our children'
Sinn Féin’s legislation to remove the mandatory three-day waiting period for abortion care in early pregnancy has passed. This is an important step forward for women’s healthcare and one of the most significant changes since we voted to repeal the 8th amendment. Women, healthcare providers and campaigners have long called for this unnecessary barrier to be removed. I welcome the passage of this legislation today and the positive difference it will make to women accessing care.

These kunts like the rest of the parties have zero positive to offer Ireland except death and misery. They're not allowed to go near fdi and taxes so they spend their time destroying the nations demographics.

The focus on “most” here feels like preemptive frame fixing, in advance of social housing figures coming out. The threshold for this being a problem is way less than “most”

This is absolutely incredible Harris tries to make it sound absurd that citizens of a republic might actually be given even a tiny preference over non citizens in that republic……when it should be the most natural thing in the world

🟢It’s unbelievable that the leaders of the two Government Parties have given support to a barbaric Sinn Féin Bill that the majority of the electorate have not asked for.. 🟢It is very clear that these leaders are steering their parties more and more to the left

The Social Democrats represent a section of Irish society that has been so thoroughly colonised by Anglo-American cultural mores that they have effectively ceased to be Irish.
