"Annie" has spent the last two years with her adoptive family, where she has gained experience in dressage, eventing, schooling outings, and horse shows. Ridden by a teenager, she has discovered a love for jumping and tackles cross-country courses with enthusiasm. While she was green to showing when adopted and could benefit from additional mileage, Annie has developed into a fun and athletic partner.
On the ground, Annie is a total sweetheart. She is easy to handle, stands quietly for grooming and tacking, and has excellent manners. She enjoys 24/7 turnout with friends, proudly holds her position as boss mare in the herd, and never says no to an apple or two.
Under saddle, Annie is more go than whoa and thrives with a consistent program. She loves having a job and is best suited for an experienced rider with soft hands and clear communication. Like many chestnut mares, she occasionally reminds you she has opinions, but those moments are infrequent and manageable for the right partner. Annie requires aluminum shoes with pads to support her thin soles, a program that has kept her comfortable and successful. Her owners adore her and are committed to finding a home where she can continue to thrive.
