From @springsteen : I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Stay free, Bruce Springsteen

You can fool some people sometimes But you can't fool all the people all the time So now we see the light (what you gonna do?) We going to stand up for our right (yeah, yeah, yeah) Get up, stand up (in the morning, don't give it up) Stand up for your right (stand up right now) Get up, stand up Don't give up the fight (don't give it up, don't give it up) Get up, stand up (get up, stand up) Stand up for your right (get up, stand up) Get up, stand up Don't give up the fight (get up, stand up) #getupstandup #bobmarley #tracychapman #humanrightsnow

For Renee Nicole Good Killed by I.C.E. on January 7, 2026 by Amanda Gorman They say she is no more, That there her absence roars, Blood-blown like a rose. Iced wheels flinched & froze. Now, bare riot of candles, Dark fury of flowers, Pure howling of hymns. If for us she arose, Somewhere, in the pitched deep of our grief, Crouches our power, The howl where we begin, Straining upon the edge of the crooked crater Of the worst of what we’ve been. Change is only possible, & all the greater, When the labour & bitter anger of our neighbors Is moved by the love  & better angels of our nature. What they call death & void, We know is breath & voice;  In the end, gorgeously,  Endures our enormity.  You could believe departed to be the dawn When the blank night has so long stood. But our bright-fled angels will never be fully gone, When they forever are so fiercely Good.

Your baby understands language well before they can use it. Watch the reaction of these sweet toddler twins as their mother breaks into the old Skidamarink song. It’s not just that mom is singing. They seem to be lighting up in anticipation of its chorus: I LOVE YOU. Watch the little one on the right - whose eyebrows raise in anticipation of this loving message from their mother. It’s an adorable reminder that receptive language (what we can hear and understand) precedes expressive language (what we can verbalize). And an important reminder not to forget that children understand the language spoken around them well before they can verbalize it themselves. The best rule of thumb: never assume your child is “too young to understand.” This sweet duo was shared to IG by babyjoyreels.

Can you say “Da-da?” It’s always good fun to see whether Mom or Dad gets acknowledged first as part of Baby’s growing vocabulary. (For the record, this is often Dad, for reasons described in the post below.) But in this case, I can’t help but think that a bit of good natured trolling is involved when it comes to this little guy’s “preference” for mom. Watch how our hero matches dad’s increasingly exasperated tone of voice note for note and his knowing little grin at the end. Call it a hunch, but I think this little guy can say Da-da just fine. 😀 Video via always_behappy_999 on IG.
