Summary of how a man allegedly unalived his wife at River Valley Estate, Lagos - Ayoola Ayanwale is reportedly on the run after violently attacking his wife in front of their children - The suspect allegedly st@bbed his wife multiple times, including her breast and buttocks, reportedly causing severe injuries, before fleeing the scene - Sources claim that the woman, Ganiyat Ayoola, had been a victim of constant physical abuse from her husband. Neighbours allegedly heard her screams for help but did not intervene - While watching her mother lose her life, their 13-year-old daughter reportedly ran out of the house screaming for help - After the wife was rushed to a hospital, the husband allegedly returned to the house to clean up evidence - Sources further claimed that he came back after she was taken away, cleaned himself up, packed his belongings, and fled - Although the police are yet to release an official statement, many believe the act was premeditated - The family is appealing to anyone with useful information to contact the police, so justice can be served 🕊️ May her soul rest in peace

2/2 dry, "We can put you on the next flight tomorrow night." No empathy. Zero regard for why I purposely booked to fly tonight in order to be well rested ahead of an important workshop Monday after recovering from a recent illness. What a pitiful joke. What a sad, sorry shame.

We stand in solidarity with the #WomenForChange movement in calling for a National Disaster status for the crisis of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide in South Africa. We will continue to make this demand until no African country is burying its women and girls.Across the continent, there can be no talk of growth or progress while femicide remains a daily reality. Today, FEMNET joined the national shutdown from the Feminist Leadership Academy, where we stood in collective resistance and remembrance. Our message was unified and unapologetic: End femicide. End impunity. Prioritise the safety, dignity, and lives of women and girls. #WomenForChange #EndFemicide #ACTtoEndViolence #SRHRDialogues #womenshutdown
