The Victoria Falls Multipurpose Cricket Ground is under steady construction and is expected to be completed by the end of the year, in line with His Excellency President Cde Dr E.D Mnangagwa’s push for sports and tourism growth. The stadium will help co-host the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup alongside South Africa and Namibia. Key infrastructure including the main pitch, grandstands, media centres, player facilities, a substation and a 500,000-litre water reservoir is taking shape. Local residents are optimistic the venue will boost sports tourism, create jobs, inspire youth and enhance Victoria Falls’ global profile as a sporting and tourism destination.

Zimbabwe has pledged to serve with humility, responsibility and a commitment to global peace after securing 182 of the 190 votes cast to win a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.
Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Professor Amon Murwira said the overwhelming endorsement reflects international confidence in Zimbabwe’s foreign policy anchored on friendship, cooperation and mutual respect among nations. He also commended President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa for spearheading the country’s successful campaign.
