Let’s be honest. There are two urgent agendas a minster of health in Lesotho need be with : 1. Centralize health records because your population is mobile. 2. Ringfence infrastructure for hospitals to run. In the triage years… this is probably what a minister should think.

He first said Men and women, boys and girls, Stop taunting my daughter ( tlohelang ho bapalla ho ngoanaka) After all the husband had already filed for divorce. Have patience, she will leave and will not take anything that does not belong to her!
In his usual style, Chief Masupha says he does not filter the truth and has been so all his 78 years of life. Chief Masupha just shocked everyone in announcing that King Makhosonke II had filed for divorce. Also asks for the message to be conveyed to the President #Ramaphosa.

Once Israel successfully frames South Africa as a xenophobic state where African migrants are routinely attacked, it will exploit that narrative by staging false‑flag incidents targeting Jews. The intended script would be straightforward: “South Africa’s hostility toward fellow Africans has escalated into violence against Jews, who are being accused of genocide in Gaza.” Israel presents itself as the protector of Jews worldwide and has demonstrated a willingness to act militarily or otherwise. By emboldening xenophobic actors here, we inadvertently play into the hands of a powerful adversary. The failure of government to clamp down on these vigilante groups poses a serious national security risk. State security is passive and sleeping on the job. This is deeply disturbing. Political tolerance that is driven by short‑term electoral calculations has allowed dangerous and unaccountable actors to operate with impunity. These morons are further inflicting long‑term reputational and strategic damage to the country. The state needs to act decisively to neutralise these threats and restore the rule of law.

CONTROVERSIAL Ministry of Energy Principal Secretary, Tankiso Phapano, has once again found himself at the centre of a major procurement controversy following the awarding of a M55 million contract to upgrade the Ha-Tikoe Substation. The controversy has been compounded by allegations that Mr Phapano lacked the legal authority to issue the award letter, with sources insisting that only the #Lesotho Electricity Company (LEC) Managing Director or the designated project manager could formally award the contract. lestimes.com/?p=90745

What about the everyday. The mundane. When there’s no grief or celebration or funerals. Everyone always talks about events and showing up for events. But most of life isn’t big events. It’s the mundane. And that’s the space where relationships fade. Everyone misses this.
I respectfully disagree. Our elders taught me that friendship is showing up. Funerals, weddings, hospital visits, celebrations, grief. Not because it was convenient, but because community matters.

I do not believe anyone is fighting preservation. What concerns many of us is how these relics r repurposed. Yes you can preserve something, add modern tech, something like the cradle of human kind. Is that what a digital studio will achieve? So again? What is a digital studio?

🙏🏿 this is the stuff of beautiful dreams really🙏🏿 I first met MamLetta almost 30yrs ago officially at a dinner to launch a place they called “Back of the Moon” here in Jozi. All the legends were there, I mean all of them, and little me of course. I was always in rooms I was too small to be in but felt so at home there. I chased her down a passage and sang “Tristeza”, telling her it was my favourite of her songs. She was shocked that I not only knew her music, but that I know that song in particular. She has an astounding discography and her kindness and gentle mentorship have carried me through the 30 sum years I have been in this business. She influenced everyone. If you listen to the opening of Mamani you might hear what you would later hear in the voice of Busi Mhlongo. She is an integral part of the South African voice and technique. #LettaMbulu
