Governor Lamont says lowering electric rates is one of his top priorities. Connecticut families deserve an explanation for how that goal is achieved after signing HB 5340 into law. HB 5340 expands renewable energy programs and creates long-term energy commitments that critics warn could ultimately be paid for by ratepayers. Connecticut families are already struggling with some of the highest electric bills in the nation. They have a right to know how creating new long-term obligations helps lower those bills. You cannot promise lower electric rates while dismissing legitimate questions about the long-term costs that may ultimately be passed on to ratepayers. Connecticut residents deserve transparency, accountability, and a clear explanation of how this new law will reduce, not increase, the cost of electricity. ctmirror.org/2026/06/10/lamo…

Today, we remember the brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. Many were little more than boys. Some were just 16, 17, or 18 years old. They knew the dangers that lay ahead, yet they moved forward with a level of courage and sacrifice most of us can scarcely imagine. They faced overwhelming odds so future generations could live in freedom. Thank you to the Greatest Generation. Your courage changed the course of history, and your sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸 June 6, 1944. We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Governor Ned Lamont spent years defending PURA and the same failed energy policies that helped give Connecticut some of the highest electric bills in America. Now he suddenly wants to sound outraged after families, seniors, and small businesses have been warning Hartford for years. Connecticut needs real energy reform and real accountability not political theater after the damage is already done. I’m honored to receive the endorsement of State Central Member Chuck Catania. Chuck has been a strong voice for Republicans in Eastern Connecticut, serving on the Connecticut Republican State Central Committee while remaining deeply involved in grassroots organizing, candidate support, and local leadership efforts. I’m truly grateful for his support and his continued commitment to building a stronger future for Connecticut Republicans.

I would like to thank Mayor Erin Stewart for her years of service to the citizens of New Britain and her dedication to the Republican Party Running for statewide office is never easy and anyone willing to commit themselves to a campaign & serve our communities deserves our respect I also appreciate her difficult decision to place party unity first at this critical moment for the State of Connecticut. We must come together as Republicans this weekend & unite behind a message that after 16 years of one party mismanagement, it’s time to make Connecticut a safer, accountable & affordable state

“I believe Mayor Erin Stewart needs to fully address these questions before the convention so delegates can make an informed decision on who will have the honor of being on the top of the Republican ticket heading into the primary. My greater concern is the silence from Erin Stewart’s running mate Tim Ackert who has stood alongside his House Republican colleagues in calling out corruption, misuse of taxpayer dollars, and failures of accountability under Democratic leadership. Those principles should apply equally, regardless of party or candidate. Republicans cannot ask the people of Connecticut to trust us to restore integrity in government if we are unwilling to hold ourselves to the same standards we demand of others.” wtnh.com/news/elections/repu…

First, in regards to tonight’s unsettling events, let us share thanks that neither the President nor any other guests were harmed by the perpetrator We must recommit ourselves in public life to speak with clarity, not inflame more polarization. We can speak truthfully but with civility And once again, let’s stand with the men & women of law enforcement who put their lives on the line to keep our public safe Cc @WFSBnews @WTNH @NBCConnecticut @FOX61News @hartfordcourant

At a time when so many are serving and sacrificing, leadership isn’t about politics—it’s about responsibility. That’s why it’s important to ask: where do the Governor and Lieutenant Governor stand? Our service members—and their families—deserve a clear answer. If you believe we can do better, please consider supporting this campaign. 📷 secure.anedot.com/mcoreyct/w…

Awesome
Overnight, U.S. forces carried out a maritime interdiction and right-of-visit boarding of the sanctioned stateless vessel M/T Majestic X transporting oil from Iran, in the Indian Ocean within the INDOPACOM area of responsibility. We will continue global maritime enforcement to disrupt illicit networks and interdict vessels providing material support to Iran, wherever they operate. International waters cannot be used as a shield by sanctioned actors. The Department of War will continue to deny illicit actors and their vessels freedom of maneuver in the maritime domain.

I see some members of the CT news media have tried to explain away Senator Murphy’s unfortunate remarks about our Navy share.google/QRGk7LlyJhnudPj… I doubt anyone in the press has spent day after day at sea on a difficult voyage only to read about a Senator mocking their efforts What the press should do is seek an apology from Senator Murphy to our men & women in uniform

Sounds pretty awesome, dontcha think Senator Murphy cc: @ChrisMurphyCT
U.S. forces have directed 29 vessels to turn around or return to port as part of the U.S. blockade against Iran. Over past 24 hours, media reports have alleged that several commercial ships evaded the blockade, citing M/V Hero II, M/V Hedy, and M/V Dorena as examples. These reports are inaccurate. Hero II and Hedy did not sail past the blockade as part of a flotilla that “ferried” millions of barrels of oil to the market. In fact, the Iranian-flagged tankers are anchored in Chah Bahar, Iran, after being intercepted by U.S. forces earlier this week. Dorena has been under the escort of a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Indian Ocean after previously attempting to violate the blockade. The U.S. military has global reach. American forces are operating and enforcing the blockade across the Middle East and beyond.

I concur with fellow veteran Rep Pat Harrigan here. A full & contrite apology to our servicemen & women is in order
There are Americans right now whose lives get worse every time Iran gains an inch, and @ChrisMurphyCT is out here celebrating it. He took an oath, he gets the briefings, he knows exactly what those ships are carrying and who it benefits, and he still opened his phone and typed 'awesome.'

I would like to take an opportunity, now that the dust has settled a bit, to comment upon Senator Murphy’s shocking statement last night that it was “Awesome” enemy ships from Iran had eluded an American blockade Having served in the Navy during the Cold War I was dumbfounded How could any elected official who swore an oath to defend our nation root for the success of an adversary? Today the Senator says it was “sarcasm” directed at the President’s strategy towards Iran. I can assure you it was not a laughing matter to the men & women who are executing this mission Our servicemen & women deserve our full support even if you question the reason they are engaged. That is totally lacking from Senator Murphy. I ask Governor Lamont & Lt Governor Bysiewicz to make clear whether they stand with Senator Murphy, or with the men & women of our military Our servicemen & veterans lack a vocal advocate for their interests here in CT. As your next Lt. Governor I will be their advocate

Across Connecticut, fewer people are stepping up to become police officers. When the job gets harder and less supported, fewer are willing to do it. That should concern all of us. youtu.be/5uVmpFgiECY?si=2-rX…
