Have not needed to apply this reset approach much to my poker back in the days because I was blessed with easy live games and strong overall mental game. But probably the best way to look at things when on a large downswing (or upswing) nonetheless. This easily transitions to trading and investing as well. This past 18 months has been harder on that front and resetting the watermark, taking inventory and starting from zero is kind of what I need. Will be doing that and posting portfolio goals and breakdown (just for myself but there's more accountability to do it in public even though nobody is watching rn I can just imagine that the whole world is)

Love to see this. Hope they succeed 🙏
This is my 3rd week as VP of Engineering DeFi at @Polymarket , and I'm going to be straight: the traction @Polymarket has seen has massively outpaced our infrastructure, and we haven't done nearly enough to scale to keep up. I hear you, and fixing this is our entire focus. We're a major company now, and we need to engineer like one. Here's exactly what we're doing: - Onchain data latency. We're working on making this near-instant so the experience is incredible. - Chain migration. We need more block space, cheaper gas and much smaller block times so settlement is instant. - Transactions are getting cancelled. We understand this is one of the most frustrating issues right now, and we have a complete fix coming very soon. - Massive focus on the website to make it faster, more responsive, and with better UX. - We added observability everywhere. Proper alerting so we catch issues ourselves, market makers should not be the ones telling us something is down. That's been unacceptable, and we know it. - E2e tests throughout, starting with the CLOB, so issues get caught in CI before anything ships. - CLOBv2 is not a rewrite. It won't improve performance or stability on its own; it's an upgrade that unlocks us to move fast right after. We'll do better with communication next time. - We are rebuilding the CLOB from the ground up. Most important thing we're doing. Without it, we can't be the best DeFi exchange in the world. We know it, we're on it, it's mission critical. - Unified TypeScript SDK for all APIs, which is shipping soon. - Unified API. One WS connection for everything, with a schema that's actually readable. - New Polymarket contract in the works that unlocks things that are simply impossible on the current protocol. - New hires: Head of QA Automation, Head of Dev Tooling, Head of Internal Tooling, Head of Data Engineering. - Smaller, dedicated teams. Fewer focus points per person, clearer ownership. People do what they're good at and are accountable for it. - Working closely with customer support to give them real debugging tools so any user issue gets properly diagnosed, not lost. - Proper communication with marketing and market makers so everyone knows what's coming and when, and MM can submit feature requests with a clear path to get them into engineering and shipped. - Working with 4 security teams daily to ensure we're super secure and that funds are always safe. - Perps incoming. Brand new contracts and a backend built from scratch in Rust. We're proud of this one. - A lot of other fixes are running in parallel right now. Starting next Friday, I will be posting weekly engineering updates. I joined because I genuinely believe in what @Polymarket is trying to do. @shayne_coplan built this so the world has somewhere to go to find out what's actually going to happen, not what the media thinks, not what a pundit says, but what thousands of people are willing to put money on. But right now, our engineering isn't living up to that. We've let people down, and I'm not going to dress that up. I came here to fix it, and that's exactly what we're going to do. The next few months are going to speak for themselves. Stay with us.

Good timing for Trump’s address tonight if it isn’t well received he could always claim it was April Fool’s

The real question you should be asking if betting NO on Trump here is: what are the chances Google Trends changes the way they quantify "most searched" this year? What are the odds they change their methodology so significantly that the most searched person is weighted on pure volume? ...close to 0% imo

The fact that this is not at 98% is a gift. I’d buy more but my bags are filled so now all I can do is shill and wait. No need to wait too long either as Google usually comes out with their results in mid Dec.

We'll take the leaked/posted then taken down/uma resolved results at the beginning of December. nice dub Onwards.

Started accumulating NO on this at 88c Still way underpriced at 91c It’s basically a bond, and will resolve way earlier than Dec (problably early October) Can get pretty clean 10% in less than two months imo on semi decent size

x.com/zoomerfied/status/1975… @shayne_coplan and @Polymarket still only at the growth inflection point of the hockey stick chart!

Had a feeling when you were personally answering customer service emails almost 5(!) years ago, that you weren't going anywhere Should've just asked then and there if there was room for any more angel cheques. Congrats again @shayne_coplan :)

Being more observant of the political circus of the US the past 6 years or so, the biggest difference btw the reps and the dems is just how open and loud they are. Reps are loud with corruption, loud with crime, loud with dumb opinions etc. Dems did the exact same shit, they just tried harder at hiding it.

Hot take Contrary to popular belief, you shouldn’t start with swing trading but scalping. Everyone starts swing trading because it feels more ‘strategic.’ But early on, you don’t need strategy; you need feedback. Scalping accelerates iterations. You don’t learn markets by holding a thesis on where Bitcoin will be in 3 months. You learn by making 50 decisions in a week and seeing what works. Scalpers can always scale up to longer timeframes. Swing traders rarely adapt down.

lmao bybit button to buy pump.fun token barely flashed 0.5 seconds before it being sold out either ppl botted it hard to take try to play the arb on Hyperliquid or there's actual legit institutional demand for meme "pick and shovel" exposure

got a feeling that if it was the former, there are some short hedges on hype that are going to be blown out before token trades in the next 4 days

The core problem is UMA is overly centralized. It is such a WILDLY centralized platform that only a madman would defend it. There is no reason for @polymarket to still rely on UMA to resolve markets.

This market on @Polymarket is being actively manipulated. The market asks if a major cyberattack on Iran happened in June — defined clearly as an attack with significant impact on national security, defense, oil, or financial systems. But the “evidence” being used is a minor ATM outage at Bank Sepah — no funds stolen, services resumed in ~2 hours, and the Iranian financial system continued normal operation. Even Israeli and U.S. sources confirm this was not major. Despite this, the market has gone from 70% Yes to 99% Yes, while the public is clearly voting No. The reason? UMA votes are bought with UMA tokens. Whoever wants “Yes” is outspending reality. This breaks the integrity of the platform and the definition of a fair market. 👀 @polymarket @coffeebreak_yt @crypto_news — we need visibility and admin review. Market in question: polymarket.com/event/iran-st… 📰 Sources debunking the “evidence”: Bank Sepah incident: Reuters: reuters.com/world/middle-eas… Politico: politico.com/news/2025/06/22… IRIB (TV) hack: i24 News: i24news.tv/en/news/israel/de… Times of Israel: timesofisrael.com/iran-blame… The IRIB broadcast was a brief symbolic protest hack, not a major cyberattack by any stretch.
