as warsh works to zip the lips of fed yappers , prediction markets have a real opportunity to help fill the gap && provide intra-meeting guidance ( if implemented in clever ways ; not some dumb bs like 5 min markets on odds of rate cuts/hikes )
Out: Forward guidance In: Task forces The new Fed chairman put his stamp on the *process* of the Fed, but the market cares about what the Fed will do. With little guidance from the chair, his broad commitment to deliver price stability and the committee's rate projections teeing up a rate hike later this year led markets to dial up bets on a July rate rise wsj.com/economy/central-bank…

just never forget that the devs who yap about AI being the best thing ever all day never really knew how to program well to begin with. They are idiots telling you that the world is solved (charitable read) or worse, they are selling you something and are attempt to deceive you. This is why we see the same cycle every time. Opus 4 = God's gift to humanity to OMG its utter trash within a few months. The same thing happens with every model release because these people don't even know what dev is. They are larpers. I believe this is what Geohotz meant when he: "I’m calling it now, the adoption of AI agents into software development will be one of the most costly mistakes in the field’s history."
All the devs whining about fable being banned need to go hit the gym and stfu

there's so many ppl who used to be worth listening to in the early stages of gen ai that have recently gone completely off the deep end into ai psychosis / unapologetic deceit . matt is one of them . now just a hyperbolic sales-y liar
Assuming Anthropic is able to restore Fable in the next few days, there's literally zero point doing any meaningful work until it is back. What can be done in 100 hours with Opus can be done in 1 with Fable. Hopefully this is figured out quickly.

i was recently in chicago && ubers there charge none of these type of taxes . i didn't even realize it until i looked closer by chance taxed on the money we make taxed on the money we spend but it's nonchalantly & systematically siphoned off so we become numb to it
Replying to @QueenMab87
the city isn't capacity or housing constrained . that's not why the city is expensive . for example , these are the charges just to take an uber to the airport ... do u know what these charges are called ?

in my anecdotal experience fr , typos seem to make the model think harder about ur intent && actually produces *better* output

only boomers fix typos in prompts. llms perfectly understand you even if you mistype.

using jailbroken opus to jailbreak fable ✨🐐✨
🚨 JAILBREAK ALERT 🚨 ANTHROPIC: PWNED 🫡 FABLE-5: LIBERATED 🦋 let's start with the 🐘... the consensus seems to be that this has been one of the most disappointing model drops of all time, effectively preventing legitimate researchers from contributing their talents to our collective advancement. and not just because of what it means for the short-term, but for what these decisions signify for the long-term. but despite this overly sensitive, authoritarian "safety" layer on top of Mythos, my lil liberators have been hard at work—mapping the boundaries, probing the depths of long-context convos, and cleverly finding the holes in the fence that the thought police missed 🤗 we got some cyber, some chem, some psychological manipulation, and some good ol' fashioned explosives! it took many attempts from multiple agents hunting as a pack, during which I observed a combination of techniques across: • Unicode, homoglyphs, Cyrillic, and other Parseltongue-style text transforms • Long-context reference tracking • Taxonomy and document-structure reasoning • Fiction and narrative framing • Academic-review style contexts • Intent-classification inconsistencies but perhaps the most effective is decomposition recomposition in the backend. it's hard to get explicit names of harms like "Meth Recipe," but getting uplift on the process itself, like birch reduction method/reductive-amination (classic meth synthesis pathways), is much more doable. defense becomes much more difficult to maintain when you start throwing in out-of-distro tokens, breaking up the harmful uplift into benign chunks, and then piecing the innocuous-seeming facts back together, especially when you have jailbroken Opus helping you do it 😉 gg

malding over the speed of ai development is so boring && performative lack of energy , infrastructure , && new data are all hard cap limitations that will fundamentally slow ai development the next 5 years
JUST IN: OpenAI says the world may need a way to coordinate “slowing frontier development when needed.”

tried anthropic's new fable model ... my first prompt ( innocuous && sports related ) was flagged as a safety concern && auto downgraded to opus . whatta joke
Introducing Claude Fable 5: a Mythos-class model that we’ve made safe for general use. Its capabilities exceed those of any model we’ve ever made generally available.

lukewarm take but ppl 'born in new york' are second-tier new yorkers , usually an economic social drag on the city , && are more so just somewhat charming ornaments for us to admire fr time to time
You never saw ‘you have to be born in NY to be a NYer’ until the last 15-20 years bc people used to come to NY to be NYers. Fran Lebowitz & Nan Goldin are from Baltimore, Debbie Harry from NJ.. Pakistani cabbies can be more Bklyn than Bklyn. Now the West Village is like Ann Arbor

these imbeciles don't get it . it's not about THIS specific zcash bug event . it's about more convincing evidence of a change in regime , where exploits are going to be far more ubiquitous w ai agents on the hunt 24/7 looking for honeypot vulnerabilities
for any bitcoin maxi shitting on zcash, let me remind you of the transaction (block 74638) that created 184,467,440,737.09551616 BTC due to an overflow bug. zcash has one of the best security & cryptography people. what happened is some serious shit, there is no going back and probably we will never know if it was exploited, nonetheless i'm bullish on zcash because they fucking care about security & privacy; something many other clown chains could learn from.

this is ( && has been ) the biggest headwind to crypto ( NOT quantum FUD ) access to cheaper ai agents means the cost of systematically scouring crypto projects for vulnerabilities has plummeted the balancer v2 exploit in november ( likely by ai ) was just the start
bro basically said "look for bugs that could exploit zcash" that's the prompt that found an exploit in a 10 billion dollar protocol
