This is where I'm at. Nerd doesn't mean anything anymore. It used to mean knowing niche things and knowing how to apply those things within a community to share love for that niche. Now it's just breakfast cereal levels of consumerism. I don't want to participate anymore.
i hate what we’ve done to nerdiness. the average nerd isn’t even smart now they just like slop. they watch long youtube videos where someone explains obscure star wars expanded universe lore and half the time the guy in the video didn’t even read it he’s just reading wookiepedia.

Not announcing this before TWO Arena Limited Championship Qualifiers had run seems intentionally deceitful. People spent hundreds of dollars thinking they would qualify for a legitimate large tournament with cash prizes. The way this was handled by Arena amounts to thievery. #mtg
