A powerful learning experience is indeed personalized, but it's also *personal* -- grounded in relationships with peers to collaborate with and mentors to guide you.

How can learning be designed to take advantage of: - peers - near-peers (someone one step ahead) - mentors (amateur and expert) How do you find the people you are looking for when you need them?

A good way to start learning: find a buddy. You'll go much further together. A few benefits: thinking out loud, teaching through learning, pushing one another. Learning happens in the world, not just in your head

IHHS has received the first College Board AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award. This award recognizes the accomplishments of last year's AP Computer Science Principles class, taught by Max Bigman. Current CS teacher Laurence Toal, Class of 2010, accepted it on his behalf.
