Hey @TomTiffanyWI - Keep our city’s name out of your mouth when you’re spewing lies about the 2020 election. Or even better, just knock it off entirely. If you think it’s a path to political success, talk to Michael Gableman. He can’t charge by the hour anymore.
In a recent interview, Tiffany launched into election denier conspiracy theories about Green Bay, which had long been put to rest. This reveals him as a true believer in this nonsense. After watching this interview (with @KristinBrey and Steve Scaffidi), I texted @amaadair, asking if he saw the interview. "Yes," he responded. “And I am pissed. It’s bullshit and it led to real people’s lives being threatened, harassed. Millions of taxpayer dollars wasted.”

The What Works Cities team recently visited @CityofGreenBay to learn how City Hall uses data to make impactful neighborhood improvements, secure funding for community spaces and improve local infrastructure. Thank you to @MayorGenrich and the team for a wonderful site visit!

It's been sort of memory-holed around here, but this is the front page of the GBPG on Nov. 9, 2000. Nothing ever came of it for a variety of reasons, but Brown Co voters, in an advisory referendum, supported a naming rights deal after the sales tax referendum succeeded.
Interesting discussion here after Ed Policy's comments to @SBJ about ways to generate revenue for the Packers given their unique structure

Sen. @JohnCornyn (R-TX): "We may not have been at war with Iran, but Iran's been at war with the West for, since 1979...Iran must be stopped from a nuclear weapons program...I think it's going to be pretty short."

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.): “The Senate should immediately return to session and vote on my War Powers Resolution to block the use of U.S. forces in hostilities against Iran. Every single Senator needs to go on the record about this dangerous, unnecessary, and idiotic action.”

Every Wisconsin kid deserves access to a good public education. And every community's schools deserve adequate support from the state of Wisconsin. Thanks to @greenbayschools, @lawfwd, and others for bringing this fight for our kids, schools, and communities to state court.

Grateful to @BrownWIExec Streckenbach, Chairman Buckley, and C. Reiss for finalizing this lease agreement. It's incredibly welcome news and makes possible the transformation of the city's waterfront for the benefit of our entire community for generations to come.

Wisconsin is just one of two states in the nation that doesn't have expanded Medicaid coverage for new moms. We have to change that. We should extend postpartum coverage from just a lousy 60 days to a full 12 months. It’s what best for our kids—and moms and families, too.

No! We should expect our state leaders to give local gov't a fair share of tax revenue generated across Wisconsin. We should also expect the state to give municipalities the ability to reduce debt & cut property taxes by creating a local option sales tax to fund critical services
Wisconsin residents should expect significant public service reductions, government consolidation, and property tax increases in the years and decades ahead

There’s a Wisconsin law that prohibits this from happening because it’s obviously anti-democratic.

It's worse than that. The ACLU spends significant energy and money arguing for Meta and Tiktok's right to exploit children, argues that money is speech, and that corporations should have limitless spending power in elections.
It is truly insane that the ACLU has $829 million in the bank — almost a BILLION dollars — and will not lift a finger to fight oligarchy and corporate power.

Congratulations on a job well done, Governor! Green Bay couldn't have asked for a better partner in the East Wing than you've been for us. Enjoy a victory lap these next few months - looking forward to seeing you in GB soon!!
