Park Rangers help keep Spokane’s parks safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone. This role includes park patrols, assisting visitors, enforcing park rules, responding to incidents, and supporting parking operations:
What You’ll Do:
• Patrol parks by foot, bike, and vehicle
• Support safety by responding to accidents and incidents
• Enforce park codes and ordinances
• Investigate suspicious activities and work with Spokane Police when needed
• Handle parking disputes and kiosk operations
• Prepare reports and documentation
• Respond to park alarms and call-outs
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of security patrol experience
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR before hire
• Ability to obtain a limited law enforcement commission within 6 months
• Must pass a background check and lift test (100 lbs)

Applicants who meet minimum qualifications and apply by the deadline will complete an online multiple‑choice exam between May 21–26, 2026.
